7 A.M. at the Happy Valley Day Lodge at the Big White Ski Resort.

Volunteer Amateur Radio Operators from O.C.A.R.C. show up to pick up their signage, lunch, and last minute updates before going out to the rally course for their assignments.  The weather was beautiful, the lunches were delicious, and there was a great atmosphere amongst the volunteers and participants.  The early morning wake up time was already paying off.

The Big White Car Rally organizers were very kind in their praise of the Amateur Radio operators and their role in making the car rally possible.  The communications aided greatly in the smooth running of the rally, and in the safety of all the participants.  We would like to see even greater participation from amateur radio operators from Kelowna, as well as from up and down the Okanagan Valley, in the next event.

The only stuck vehicle some of us saw was the RCMP cruiser outside the Lodge after the award ceremony.
