Big White Village IRLP Node #1172

IRLP Node #1172 is now fully functional. It is located in, and provides coverage to, the Village area centered at the clock tower. The frequency is 147.420 MHz Simplex, with no sub-audible tone. It is important to note that the coverage area is different from the Big White Repeater on 146.860 MHz -, which is located at the top of the Gem Lake ski lift. A better idea of the relative coverage areas can be obtained by viewing the maps below;

Coverage from the Big White repeater can be spotty within the Village because of the terrain, creating a "shadow". Coverage of the IRLP repeater is similarly affected by the terrain, localizing it's coverage to the Village area.
Further information on repeater status can be obtained from the IRLP.net website.
