ARRL Field Day

Field Day 2011 was held over 24 hours from 11:00 June 25 to 11:00 June 26.
This was the second year it was being held at Raymer Bay Regional Park
RAC Canada Day Contest
July 1
This year's Canada Day Contest participants trekked up to Peachland Lake for the long weekend to contest, fish, and enjoy the outdoors.
The lake is a short drive from Kelowna on a good road, with lots of space to camp out.
Big White APRS Digipeater Repair
July 7
The snow is melting fast up on Big White Mountain. This means that our window of opportunity had come to replace the faulty APRS digipeater with a new one that had been bought, and tested. Mike VE7MMG, Jesse VE7LYD,
and John VE7JWS arranged to meet in the morning and proceed up the mountain to the Gem Quad Chair Lift.
Little White Repeater Hut Painting Party
August 6
After years of enduring the weather at 7,200', the Little White Mountain repeater hut was in need of a new coat of paint. A group of O.C.A.R.C. hams
volunteered to make the trip up the mountain with cans of epoxy paint to do the job.
Tappan Hamfest

The 33rd Annual Tappen Hamfest was held the weekend of September 16 - 18, 2011, hosted by the Salmon Arm Seniors Amateur Radio Club.
Kelowna Flightcraft Tour

were the guests of Kelowna Flightcraft for a thorough tour of their operations.
Big White Winter Rally
