Wednesday Net Little White Mountain Repeater

Posted on: Mon, 02/24/2020 - 23:05 By: VE7JXC

The Little White Mountain repeater is powered by solar, during winter there are times when the solar panels may not fully charge the batteries.

The Wednesday Net until further notice will use the Okanagan Mountain repeater for the Net at 19:30 hrs (7:30 p.m.) and the Dilworth Mountain repeater at 20:00 hrs (8:00 p.m.) for those who can not reach the Okanagan Mountain repeater.

A friendly reminder that kerchunking (transmitting a carrier without identifying, for the purposes of bringing up a repeater) is not only against the radio regulations, but is wasteful of the limited power available on solar powered repeaters.

The repeater pages now have coverage maps for 50 kms and 150 kms. Big White also has a 5 km for handhelds. Dilworth has a 25 km for handhelds.
